Where, exactly: Paradise Valley Village and the streets around it, roughly between Cactus Road and Bell Road, on the Phoenix side of the Scottsdale line. The City of Phoenix describes the village by its open space, the surrounding Phoenix Mountains, the trail systems and the Indian Bend Wash greenbelt. On the ground it is subdivisions, shopping strips and schools.

- Paradise Valley Park, off 40th Street just north of Bell Road. The city's senior center sits inside the park, open weekdays with a walking group in the cool of the gym, chair fitness, cards, lunch at 11:30, and a dementia-friendly Memory Cafe once a month, which participants attend with a care partner rather than alone. - PV, on the old Paradise Valley Mall site at Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road. The mall anchored these blocks for four decades, closed in 2021 and came down the following winter, and an open-air center has been rising there since 2024.
